Large Heavy Duty Postal Shipping Platform Digital Scale 400 lbs

This is a remarkably solid, spacious, accurate and stable scale, with a minimum displayed weight of about 50 grams (its minimum resolution in metric mode). A point in its favor is the fact that it can be calibrated if necessary, though I found it to be acceptably accurate out of the box. It's based on a load cell feeding a COB ASIC beneath the nice, readable display in the control box. One thing to watch for: Its power supply is opposite in polarity to most, and has the sleeve positive and the tip negative. If, as is likely, it lacks reverse polarity protection (I didn't check when I opened the control case), it may fail if you plug in another and more typical power supply. I use this scale regularly for mailing out books, DVDs and other items, and it works very well. When weighing for shipping, it will quickly give you an accurate digital readout of the item weight in ounces or, pounds and ounces for particularly heavy items. This scale has more features and capacity for a better price than the "official" USPS postage meters that are available. With a stack of stamps and a reference to [...] you can accurately post anything from first class mail to media mail. This scale is also useful for printing postage online, as you can quickly discern and input the package's weight.
