I had a scale that could weigh items up to 7 pounds, but I needed something a little more industrial and found this scale. I tested it against my other scale (up to 7 pounds at least), and it proved accurate. The battery life is pretty good - seem to last a long time. I do wish that the the connector cable from the scale to the display were a little longer. The display lights up when you turn it on which makes it easier to see the readings. You can weigh in pounds or kilograms.
